Charlie Sullivan, 81, Russell County, KY/Leslie Co., KY native (1936-2018)

He was a heavy equipment salesman and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. He was a native of Leslie County, KY, a former resident of Russell County, KY; and a resident of Barren County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Chester & Hettie Gross Sullivan. His wife, Marietta "Rita" Sullivan, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.

Jason Lee Parker, 44, Taylor Co., KY/Green Co. native

February 19, 1974 - June 03, 2018

Jason had previously been employed at Kroger for sixteen years, helping to open new stores and doing special events. He was an airbrush expert; was the founder and administrator of the Facebook Group, Big Blue Marble, (a UK fan base with over 4000 members) and was an avid KY fan. He had professed faith in Christ. He was the son of Jerry Lee Parker & Joretta Mings Parker, who survive.

Traffic Information – I65 Northbound in Bullitt County

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - (2:12pmCT) - A crash involving a dump truck has multiple northbound lanes of I-65 blocked near Mile Marker 121 in Bullitt County (near the Brooks Road Interchange). LWC Bonner Scholars receive Governor's Group Service Award

The Bonner Scholars were one of only four groups honored by Lt. Gov. Jenean Hampton and Executive Cabinet Secretary Scott Brinkman during the ceremony. The annual awards are coordinated by Serve Kentucky - formerly known as the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service. Serve Kentucky is part of the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS)

MARION COUNTY, KY (Tue 5 Jun 2018) 45 year old Howard K. Summers of Lebanon, KY was arrested on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10:13pmET, on Ky 327 5 miles north of Lebanon by Trooper Nick Davis.

Summers was indicted yesterday by the Marion County Grand Jury and charged with Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Lincoln Co, KYTC maintenance facility sustains fire damage

STANFORD, KY. (Tue 5 Jun 2018) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Department of Highways maintenance facility is closed today due to a fire. The facility, located on U.S. 27 North in Stanford, KY, is expected to reopen by the end of the week. To report any maintenance related issues, please contact the Department of Highways Lincoln County section office at 606-365-2176. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Anthony Ramsey, 67, Jefferson Co., KY native/Taylor Co., KY

August 16, 1950 - June 03, 2018 (Age 67)

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and was the recipient of the Purple Heart He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church. Anthony was a retired painter. He was the son of the late Paul Ramsey & Lucille Caulk Ramsey His wife, Cheri Harden Ramsey, survives. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

Students named to the President's List earned a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 and attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Students named to Dean's List earned at least a 3.50 graduate point average on a 4.0 scale and attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

The June 4, 2018 City Council meeting opened with Citizens Comments. Kasey Hoskins, Transportation Planner at the Lake Cumberland Area Development District, shared information about how the agency can help with planning and training on the subjects of roads, bike lanes and sidewalks.

Mayor Curtis Hardwick presided, with all members of the city council, Craig Dean, Linda Waggener, Craig Lasley, Ronald Rogers, Pamela Hoots, and Mark D, Harris present, as were City Clerk Rhonda Loy, City Attorney Dustin Warren, and Chief of Police Jason Cross, in addition to media.

Just had a five day stay with Christine at the facilities of T.J. Health of Columbia and I have the utmost praise for the facilities.

From the minute we arrived by ambulance from Summit Manor there was very much attention and care from the nurses and doctor.
