He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and was the recipient of the Purple Heart He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church. Anthony was a retired painter. He was the son of the late Paul Ramsey & Lucille Caulk Ramsey His wife, Cheri Harden Ramsey, survives. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

Anthony Ramsey of Campbellsville, KY died at 9:20pmET, Sunday, June 3, 2018 in Campbellsville.

Memorial service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by George McGee Phillips. Visitation will be 9am-11amCT/10am-11amET,Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen by the family.

Anthony Ramsey was the son of the late Paul Ramsey & Lucille Caulk Ramsey. He was born August 16, 1950, in Jefferson County, KY. He died at Sunday, June 3, 2018 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 67 years, nine months, and 18 days. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and was the recipient of the Purple Heart.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.

Anthony was a retired painter.

He united in marriage to Cheri Harden October 26, 2001.

Besides his wife, Cheri Ramsey of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by:
  • Two sons and two daughters: Daniel Ramsey and wife, Leah of Huntsville, Al; David Ramsey and wife, Julie Bruder of Orlando, FL; Heather Thompson and husband, Terry of Cave City, KY; and Daisy Ramsey of Glasgow, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Jacob Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Ashley Ramsey and Nathan Ramsey

  • One sister: Vickie Sprowles and husband, Eddie of Campbellsville, KY

  • Special niece and nephew: Dana and David Dudgeon of Campbellsville, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends
