Ronnie Lee Benningfield, 77, Taylor Co., KY (1941-2018)

July 26, 1941 - August 05, 2018 (Age 77)
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Cox Interior in Campbellsville; he spent as much time as he could outside whether working with his friends and family in the fields or spending leisure time on the swing out in the yard, but most of all, he loved to spend his time with his grandchildren. He was the son of the late Clarence & Jessie E. Page Benningfield. His wife of over 53 years, JoAnn Richerson Benningfield, survives. He leaves a total of seven direct- and step- living descendants.

COLUMBIA, KY - (Mon 6 Aug 2018) - The Lindsey Wilson football team garnered a No. 5 ranking in the 2018 NAIA Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Monday.

The Blue Raiders received a total of 310 voting points from the panel of head coaches.

Rollin K. Pyles, 101, Adair County, KY (1917-2018)

July 17, 1917 ~ August 5, 2018 (Age 101)
Mr. Pyles was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, serving as finance chairman for 25 years and chairman of the building committee at the time the church built the current million-dollar facility. He served as President of the Chamber of Commerce for two terms, served on the City Council for six terms, on the Board of Trustees of Lindsey Wilson College for 12 years, a member of the Airport Board for 25 years, was very active in the Republican Party, and always believed in giving back to the community and that you could never out give God. He was a member of an outstanding, influential Adair County, KY, family. He was the widower of Pina Lee Rich Pyles. He leaves 28 direct living descendants.

Jeanetta was a co-founder and owner of Petty's Supply and was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church in Adair County. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was quick to express her faith by inviting those she met, "Are you coming to church Sunday?" She was the matriarch of an prominent, highly regarded Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Millard & Lyda Piercy Turner, and the widow of Elmo Nell Petty

KSP Post 15 - Monthly Activity Report - July 2018

Though no fatalities in month, Post 15 area still has double YTD fatalities compared to same period in 2017. State wide, however, the totals are down from 422 to 386.

During the month of July 2018, there were 12 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were no fatal collisions during the month of July in the Post 15 area.

CAUD Boil Water Advisory for Bridge to Bypass on KY 55 N

Date Issued: 8/6/2018. Time Issued: 8:20amCT.

A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for consumers of Columbia Adair Utilities District (CAUD) for customers
on Campbellsville Road, from Russell Creek Bridge on North 55 to Bypass intersection on North 55 and all side roads in between.
The advisory has been issued due to a main line leak. Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure.
Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using.
This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality. For more information concerning the Boil Water Advisory, contact Lennon Stone at Columbia Adair Utilities District, 270-384-2181.

Survivors include, one daughter, Judy Reliford and husband David, and son Nathan Jennings and wife Linda. Eveleen (Atwood) Miller, Casey Co., KY native (1931-2018)

June 9, 1931 ~ Augustt 14, 2018 (Age 87)
She was a loving sister of eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by Dewey Atwood and Patricia Carol Emerson. She retired from the Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company after 20 years where she worked as a long-distance switchboard operator. She was working the day JKF was assassinated. She loved the color yellow, cooking, winning at the domino game chicken-foot (which she did often), knock-out roses, coffee, pinto beans & cornbread, Days of our Lives, shopping for clothes & shoes at Goodwill, her family & friends, and Jesus. She loved having visitors and everyone who came knew that she would always have a sweet treat.
