Billy Joe Fudge: Thinks 'blue owl' may be harrier hawk

Billy Joe Fudge writes:
The lighting and definition is not very good but the color and shape looks more like a Northern Harrier to me. They hunt this far South during the Winter and I see them almost weekly. Additionally, they hunt by sound and not by sight which means they are almost never seen above tree top height and regularly hunt 3 to 10 feet above grassy meadows. --

The next earlier column: CAROL PERKINS: The trip to Louisville & the partial plate story

By Carol Perkins

My Sunday school teacher talked about demons and spirits last Sunday and did so in such a colorful way that I could almost see them dancing around the room like little gnomes, sword fighting each other. He said, "You have them to your left, to your right, and all around you." My demons must be winning. What happened to those good spirits when I needed them?
