Billy Joe Fudge: Thinks 'blue owl' may be harrier hawk Billy Joe Fudge writes: The lighting and definition is not very good but the color and shape looks more like a Northern Harrier to me. They hunt this far South during the Winter and I see them almost weekly. Additionally, they hunt by sound and not by sight which means they are almost never seen above tree top height and regularly hunt 3 to 10 feet above grassy meadows. --Comments re photo 78049 Another Rare Owl Scott Hurt Wells trail cam captures blue owl images This story was posted on 2018-04-05 14:14:59
