It is an old school," Dr. Shane Garrison, vice president for enrollment services, said at Campbellsville University's first-ever Intensive English Learning & American Culture and Immersion Program. "You are now part of the 110-year-old tradition," Garrison, who is also an associate professor of educational ministries, told 16 students from South Korea who completed the program and for whom a ceremony was held recently in the Chowning Executive Dining Room in Winters Dining Hall on campus. The students participated in the program between Jan. 20 and Feb. 17. Dr. Kwang Suh, director of the Intensive English Learning Program, created the academic program and presented the certificates to the students. Inmates relocated following storm damage to Fulton County Detention Center By Lisa Lamb News from the Kentucky Department of Corrections FRANKFORT, KY (Fri 10 Mar 2017) – Some inmates housed at the Fulton County Detention Center have been temporarily relocated to neighboring correctional facilities following storm damage to the facility. A storm with damaging winds struck Fulton County last night causing major damage to parts of the area. The Fulton County Detention Center sustained roof damage to a section of the jail, and officials there reported to the Department of Corrections that 80 inmates were temporarily relocated. The event, titled Simulation: Advancing Healthcare Outcomes, brought nursing students and members of the professional healthcare community together for a full day of activities including crisis resource management, nursing break out sessions, simulations and a keynote address. University of Louisville Associate Professor of Pediatric Critical Care Dr. Aaron Calhoun MD delivered the keynote on Wednesday morning to a group of over 120 nursing students, faculty, staff and other healthcare professionals.
