Betty Jane Branham, 91, Metcalfe County, KY (1925-2017)

She was a member of the Cedar Flat Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a retired cook for the Metcalfe County Schools. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Shaw and Rose Nance Shaw, and the widow of Floyd Branham. She leave eight direct living descendants. She had deep family ties in Adair, Barren, Hart, and Metcalfe Counties and elsewhere.

Betty Jane Branham age 91 of Edmonton passed away at NHC Healthcare Wednesday Evening, March 8, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 3pmCT until 8pmCT and after 9amCT, Saturday morning.

She was born December 24, 1925, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Shaw and Rose Nance Shaw. She died Wedneday, March 8, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 91 years, two months, and 12 days.

She was a member of the Cedar Flat Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a retired cook for the Metcalfe County Schools.

She is survived by:
  • Her two daughters: Judy (Darrell) Brown of Edmonton, KY; and June (Steve) Bennett of Columbia, KY

  • Three grand-children: Casey (Josh) Harlow of Hiseville, KY; Jacob (Amanda) Brown of Glasgow, KY; and Carrie (Jason) Rountree of Horse Cave, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren; Autumn Harlow, Kymber Rountree, and Carter Brown
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Branham; her twin brother James and her brother, Raymond Shaw.
