Gerald Compton, age 47, of Bradfordsville, KY passed away on Thursday March 9, 2017 at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Tapscott Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Monday March 13, 2017 and after 7amCT/8amET, on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on August 18, 1969. He was a son of Davey and Lucile Cox Coffman. He died Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 47 years, six months, and 19 days.

Gerald was a welder.

Survivors include:
  • Four brothers: Davey Coffman Jr of Liberty, KY; Eugene Coffman of Jamestown, IN; Jeff Compton of Lebanon, KY; and Larry Compton of Somerset, KY

  • Three sisters: Donna Wiser of Moreland, KY; Patricia Johnson of Bradfordsville, KY; and Elizabeth Compton of Somerset, KY.
Preceding him in death was one son, Thomas Gerald Compton and his birth parents, Evan and Catherine Coffman Compton
