Letter: New warning signs are welcomed

Robbbev@gmail.com writes:
It is wonderful sight to see warning signs on Route 551 approaching the intersection of 551 and Hwy 76. Also approaching stop signs warning people of a stop sign ahead, on Hwy 76. This is a terrible intersection, a lot of people running the stop sign.

Thank you for the new signs, and hopefully less accidents.

Letter: Ferris Wheel for Columbia?

Billy Joe Fudge writes:
All the major metropolitan areas seem to have a modern rendition of the Ferris Wheel. Maybe, City and County Governments should form a public/private partnership with all the community banks to build one up on Bomar Heights.

It would be visible from I-66 and every highway entering and exiting Columbia and would put Columbia/Adair County on the map as the forward thinking and creative center of the Great Wooded South! --BJF
