Travel: Benningfields set to experience every Kentucky ferry This couple's goal is to enjoy day trips and experience every ferry in the state! It's great to have the good report with photos! - LW From Bob and Diane Benningfield Saw the list of ferries in Kentucky posted and thought we would check them out. We have ridden the one in Cumberland County several times. Monday we went and rode the Valley View Ferry in Jessamine - Fayette County. We are gonna try to go ride them all. It's a fun short day trip. The Valley View Ferry is a free service. It operates with funding from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the fiscal courts of Madison and Jessamine counties and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. The ferry is managed by the Valley View Ferry Authority, composed of citizens and government officials from the three counties served. This story was posted on 2019-08-01 00:22:36
