Are we looking at this endogenous, wonder of Spring or is it looking at us? Maybe a bit of both, I suppose. It reminds me of a Star Wars' creature about to burst forth with death and destruction rather than an earthly reminder of the renewal of life.

Frances Gadberry Antle, Adair County, KY (1935-2018)

She was a a devout Christian. She was member of Jamestown Church of Christ, and a house wife. She loved the Lord, loved reading the Bible & loved her family. She was a member of a beloved South Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Joe Lee & Eva Mae McFarland Gadberry of Gadberry, Adair County, KY. Her husband, Kenton Antle, survives. She leaves one direct living descendants.

Robert Lee (Bobby) Watson, Green County, KY (1938-2018)

He had made profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Columbia, KY. He was a retired Aerial Observer for the Division of Forestry. He was the son of the late Lee Watson and Catherine Elizabeth Livers Watson. His wife of 32 years, Sharon Gupton Watson, survives.

Ruby Janell Curry Montgomery, Fayette Co./Green Co., KY native (1928-2018)

She attended Greensburg High School, was a graduate of Campbellsville College, and held a Rank I Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University. "Miss Ruby" was an elementary school teacher in Green County Schools for 31 years. She was an active member of the Green County Democratic Women's Club. She was longtime member of Greensburg Baptist Church. She loved travel, and had visited 49 states and several Canadian provinces. She was an avid genealogist and was co-author of a book, "Bartholomew Curry Genealogy". She was the matriarch of a distinguished family, the daughter of the late Howard S. Curry and Mildred Thompson Curry. Her final resting place will be in Greensburg Cemetery

Metcalfe is only county in Kentucky with rise in unemployment

Frankfort, KY - Unemployment rates fell in 6 local counties, and 119 counties in Kentucky between February 2017 and February 2018 and rose in only one (Metcalfe County), according to the Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics (KCEWS), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.

Green County Grand Jury returns indictments Wed 28 Mar 2018

Indictments brought against 8 individuals from Greensburg, Lebanon, and Campbellsville, KY, on charges including burglary, theft, welfare fraud, sexual misconduct, and promoting a sexual performance by a minor.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

She loved art and dolls. She was a very loving mother and was a firm believer in Christ. She was born in Mercer County, NJ, and was a resident of Casey County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the matriarch of respected family the daughter of the late Claude and Miriam Murphy Chouteau. Her husband of 28 years, Robert (Bob) Fulton Booth, survives. White Campus. 'Take Back the Night' was the first of several events that the college will host in April in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month including: National Wear Teal Day, Chalk the Walk, Teal Tie Dye Day and National Denim Day.

CJ/KSPN: Pension bill surfaces, zips through General Assembly

. . despite cries of stunned teachers
"In just a matter of hours Thursday Republicans in control of the Kentucky House and Senate unveiled - and zipped through to final passage - a new version of a controversial pension reform bill. As about 200 stunned and furious teachers and other opponents chanted objections like "Shame on you" from outside the chambers, the House first passed the bill 49-46, and a few hours later the Senate passed it 22-15.
