"Miss Ruby" was an elementary school teacher in Green County Schools for 31 years. She was an active member of the Green County Democratic Women's Club. She was longtime member of Greensburg Baptist Church. She loved travel, and had visited 49 states and several Canadian provinces. She was an avid genealogist and was co-author of a book, "Bartholomew Curry Genealogy". She was the matriarch of a distinguished family, the daughter of the late Howard S. Curry and Mildred Thompson Curry.
