Next stop for rising stars: National competition in Chicago, Illinois! Click on headline for photos and the award winning video By Patty Rush Smith, Principal, ACPC Adair County Primary Center is proud to present the STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program) Kentucky State Champion K-5 team. This group presented their project in Lexington, KY on Thursday, March 29, along with 566 teams from other schools. These schools were elementary, middle and high school teams. Adair County Primary Center - led by the amazing Laura Marcum and represented by rising stars second graders Sallie Ballou, Addelyn McMinnoway, Claire Loy, Carter Curry, Summer Rowe, Brayden Bottoms, John Hunter Stotts, Jovie Ray, Ashley Loy, Maddy Judd, Chase St. Andrews, Keylin Bergin, Josie Blair, and Trenton Stayton - won Kentucky State Competition, in class K-5 entrants. Expect a lot from this group - they're only second graders Keep in mind the members of this team are all 2nd graders. This group earned the top honor in the state out of all K-5 schools that presented. I hope the community will join us in celebrating the efforts and rewards received by these fourteen children and their amazing leader, Mrs. Laura Marcum. They will go on to compete at the national level in Chicago this summer. This is truly an example of our school motto: Adair County Primary Center... where little kids do BIG things!
