He was a 1973 graduate of Adair County High School. He was a member of a popular, respected Adair County family, the son of the late Walter Payne & Elsie Mae Brown Sneed. He leaves a host of family members and friends in Adair County. His final resting place will be in Antioch Cemetery

Edra Ann Reliford, Adair Co., KY (1951-2017)

She was the daughter late John Ellen & Eliza Ellen Murrell Hamlett of Columbia. Mrs. Reliford. had worked at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She was the daughter of the late John Ellen & Eliza Ellen Murrell Hamlett. Her husband, Wendell "Jody" Reliford, survives. She leaves a large, highly admired family network and many friends behind, including eight direct living descendants.

Dorris Laverne Parish, 79, Columbia, KY (1938-2017)

Mrs. Parish retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber in Noblesville, Indiana after 35 years of service. was a native of Mississippi County, MO, and a resident of Adair County, KY, at the time of her death. She was a member of a respected South Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late John Henry & Bessie Haley Estes, and the widow of Shelby O. Parish. She leaves four direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Meade County, KY.

Delbert Lindsey Beard, Taylor Co., KY (1931-2017)

Prior to his retirement, he worked several years at American Sign Company and in 1951-1953 he proudly served in the United States Army. He was a long-standing member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church. He was the patriarch of a very large, respected family. He was the son of the late Lilburn & Sadie Thompson Beard. His wife of 66 years, Regena Bradshaw Beard, survives. He leaves 51 direct living descendants.

Benningfield advised that he was investigating the theft of a enclosed trailer taken from Taylor County and he received a tip that it was at a location in Columbia, possiblt on Short Street, in Columbia, KY.

A BOIL WATER ADVISORY is in effect for consumers of Columbia Adair Utilities District for customers on:
on Greenhills Road to East 80 and all side roads in between, Summer Hill, Horton Estates, Autumn Loop, Snow Crest Dr, from Greenhills Road to Cloverport Dr on Liberty Road, Cloverport Dr and Creekport Drive
The advisory has been issued due to main line Leak. Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using.

This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality.

Work is being performed beginning at the intersection of Duckbill Road (mile point 5.9) and will end at the Casey Creek bridge mile point 10.9 with traffic controlled by flaggers.

Lindsey Wilson College will host a piano program of works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert, and Franz Liszt, at 2pmCT, Sunday, December 10, 2017 W.W. Slider Recital Hall, 151 Blue Raider Drive, Columbia, KY.

The pianist for the occasion will be fourteen year-old Jesse LaGrange. LaGrange is the son of John & Paige LaGrange of Burkesville, Kentucky. LaGrange is a piano student of LWC Professor of Music, Dr. Bob Reynolds. An unusual highlight of the program will be the performance of all of the Bach Two-Part Inventions. The program is open and free to the public.

CIS spreads Christmas wishes in Miller Park

Campbellsville Independent Schools Christmas break will be December 20 through January 2, 2017. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 3, 2017.
