The quiz bowl team, competing against more than 50 other clubs from across the state, managed an impressive, top-eight finish. "I was very proud of them," says ACHS science teacher Sheila Willis, who serves as the club's co-sponsor, along with Dawn Baker. "Their behavior was exemplary, their effort in the competitions was stellar, and they really represented our school and our community very well." LWC's Tessari collects 4th MSC Wrestler of Week honor By Charles Balcom, Assistant SID, Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY (Mon 23 Jan 2017) - For the fourth time this season, Cam Tessari is the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. The junior from Monroeville, Ohio compiled a 6-0 week en route to the weekly conference honor. Tessari opened the week with a 16-1 technical fall against Bobby Ehman of Cumberlands (KY) in the Blue Raiders' 20-18 win over the Patriots. He then followed with a 5-0 performance at the Missouri Valley College Invitational on his way to the title at the 157-pound bracket. Tessari pinned his first three opponents at the tournament to reach the semifinals.
