Teacher's thoughts, spring semester 2020: Christina Burton By Christina Burton The saying, "you don't know what you've got until it's gone," is so true. I have always enjoyed teaching. Teaching students to read, do math, write sentences and stories, and even how to get along and make friends. But, I never realized how much I took teaching for granted. I didn't realize how much I would miss my students smiling faces and hearing them laugh, watching them accomplish things they had worked so hard on, and seeing how proud they were of themselves when they achieved their goal. These are all things I will never take for granted again. I would love to hug each one of them just a little longer and tell them one more time how I love them and how much I believe in them.
