Director, Adair Co. Emergency Management

The latest forecasts have shifted the axis of heavy rainfall a bit more to the west and northwest. Widespread rainfall is expected later today through late Thursday night across the Ohio Valley, with the heaviest rainfall in Southern Indiana and far Western Kentucky.

In areas south and southeast of the Ohio River, rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are likely. There will likely be a sharp gradient of rainfall with lesser amounts as one heads eastward toward the I-75 corridor.

Shopping at home first encouraged by local Chamber

Locally owned businesses are the backbone of our economy. On a dollar-for-dollar basis, the local economic impact of independently owned businesses is significantly greater than that of national chains. Three times as much money stays in the local economy when you buy goods and services from home grown businesses.

By Ellen Zornes, Executive Director, Columbia/Adair Chamber of Commerce

Join the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce as it once again promotes our "SHOP LOCAL" campaign beginning with To the Nines Downtown Market, November 9, 2018 and ending on Wednesday, December 12. Drawings will be held Friday, December 14, immediately before that night's To the Nines experience.
