Reminder: WMA Safety Checkpoints in Adair and Taylor during November Kentucky Conservation Officers will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout Green River Wildlife Management Area during the month of November to check motorist for compliance with motor vehicle laws including driving under the influence statutes. The goal of Conservation Officer traffic safety checkpoints are to provide a high visibility, public safety service targeting motor vehicle compliance and safety. Drivers who encounter a traffic safety checkpoint are requested to have readily available their operator's license, proof of vehicle insurance, and vehicle registration receipt. Drivers with this documentation in hand and no other violations of the law can expect their delay to be brief. Supervisory-approved traffic safety checkpoint locations:
Conservation Officers utilize safety checkpoints in an effort to promote safety for motorists and outdoor enthusiasts using WMA's and to provide a deterrent for those who violate Kentucky Revised Statutes and Kentucky Administrative Regulations. Traffic safety checkpoints allow Conservation Officers to periodically focus its efforts on checking for violations that ultimately increase the safety of the citizens of the Commonwealth who recreate on Kentucky's Wildlife Management Areas.
