Gifted and Talented paint mural: Growing a Garden of Art By Candice Flatt, Gifted and Talented Teacher, ACHS The Gifted and Talented Program applied for an art grant called the VSA Kentucky Arts Inclusion Project that helps fund artists and supplies for projects that teach students about art they have not been exposed to previously. It also works with students with and without disabilities. This project uses stylized art to paint a mural on the Gifted and Talented Bus Ceiling entitled "Growing a Garden of Art". Some students pictured in the above photos are Maison Karnes, Jacob Fugate, Chistian Marcial-Davis, Mrs. Pat Ritter--Artist, Lucas Powell, Ashton Flatt, and Jalissa Clements. Smith, a former wealth manager for professional athletes, was sentenced today to 51 months in federal prison for stealing nearly $1.3 million from his clients and misusing their identities. U.S. District Court Judge Joseph M. Hood sentenced 45-year-old Smith, now of Batesville, Indiana, for wire fraud, identity theft, and money laundering. In addition to the 51-month term of incarceration, Judge Hood ordered Smith to forfeit $1,298,506.82, the approximate gross proceeds of his offense.
