STLP state competition top awards go out to CHS students

Campbellsville High School students brought home several top awards at the state Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) competition March 29, 2018 at the University of Kentucky.

CHS seniors Austin Fitzgerald and Christian Berry won second place in the NKU Mobile App Design contest.

Student Technology Leadership Program uses project-based learning principles to empower student learning and achievement through the utilization and creation of technology to solve school and community needs.



Hayley Stapleton and Elizabeth Sullivan, juniors, won second place in the Podcasting - Telling Your Story competition.

And sophomore Zoe McAninch served on the State Social Media team.

CHS juniors Randy Harris and Brandon Greer competed in the Minecraft Circuitry showcase project, with help from several Campbellsville Middle School students.

Conner Riley, a sophomore, competed in the Coding challenge and Certipalooza.

Ben Arachi and Randy Harris, juniors, competed in the Bench challenge.

CHS freshman Colin Harris and junior Ben Arachi compete in the Quick Tech Recall challenge.

And junior Celeste Hassman competed in the Photo on Demand challenge.

STLP also provides a framework for highlighting the advanced use of technology for learning in Kentucky's classrooms.

It provides opportunities for students to share their projects, products and services at local, district, regional, state and national events.

Sonya Kessler is the STLP sponsor at CHS.
