The ninth-place team finish matches Lindsey Wilson's best-ever team finish at the highly competitive Midwest Classic that featured 24 teams ranked or receiving votes in the NCAA Division II poll, including eight of the top 15 teams. Lindsey Wilson also posted a ninth-place finish at the event during the 2013-14 season. LWC accumulated 62.5 team points across the two-day competition. Creon Melson, 75, Cundiff, Adair County, KY (1942-2017) Creon was owner of Melson Roofing for over 45 years. He attended Melson Ridge Community Separate Baptist Church, was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and a strong Republican. He was an extremely influential leader in his area and of all Adair County. He was a one-man economic development institution in his community, who provided good employment for dozens of workers, primarily from his district, who applied his Christian faith in all aspects of his life. He was the patriarch of his family. He was the son of the late Russell & Lela Shearer Melson. His wife, Betty Coomer, survives. He leaves 18 direct living descendants. He will be greatly missed.
