Commentary: Real wrestling is exciting, fast-paced, never dull

She's a booster for the sport just introduced to Adair County Schools this year: 'It's great fun. Short matches. Fans are on their feet cheering most of the time, ' . . . so you don't even have time for your behind to get numb.' - PEGGY FUDGE

By Peggy Fudge
Personal Commentary

I was warned that watching my nephew wrestle would be difficult. Forewarned was not forearmed. The shock of seeing your kid's face being pressed into the mat is never forgotten, but you get past that pretty quickly. Josh started wrestling (Real Wrestling) in middle school and showed a real talent for it.

Today - SUNDAY with CM - 17 Dec 2017

Haiku by Robert Stone for December 17, 2017:
Good friends will tell you
to not fall in love with one
whom you cannot get.
--Robert Stone, Sunday, 17 December 2017.
-1000 haiku twice now, now on to more days, Day 2287

We woke up to a damaging winter storm last year
On this corresponding Sunday one year ago, we woke up to a damaging winter storm. For an album of blown off roofs, blown over trees, and other destruction, and the news of a power outage which lasted over three hours but was barely noticed, read ColumbiaMagazine.com as a Daily Newspaper for that day at: Daily News, Sunday, December 18, 2017. There was more, including one of Robert Ellis' great albums of beauty too often taken for granted, but, in its own way through his lens, classic art.
