Patti is the daughter of the couple featured in the photo of the news clippings. The original posting didn't have a date and it had a question as to what the news writers of the day referred to as a "modish frock". Both questions are now answered. -- LW

Do not flip and flop : a word-list sonnet
Presented by Robert Stone at Poetry in the Boro, Murfreesboro, TN
The flighty will forget to handle strands
of endothermic energies with care
and so will braid potential burning brands
that suddenly and quickly bring despair.

The leadership will tell the crowd to jump
to test how well their followers react
and so will scrutinize the po-boy plump
that fall along the way necrosis sacked.

Reluctant squirm and hope for saving raft
to float away from brute predicament
and so will broadcast fitness overdraft
that laziness and leisure stole and spent.

Between good choices do not flip and flop
and so maintain strong pulse until last stop.
~ Robert Stone, 10 December 2017
Word List: Braid – endothermic – flighty – forget – jump – leadership – necrosis – po’boy – pulse – stop Poetry in the Boro, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Words suggested at a previous meeting
