KSP investigating robbery, car theft, and multi-county chase

Suspect charged in Marshall County with First Degree Robbery, Receiving Stolen Property ($10,000 or more), First Degree Criminal Mischief, First Degree Fleeing or Evading Police in a Motor Vehicle, Third Degree Assault on a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, First Degree Wanton Endangerment of a Police Officer, Second Degree Wanton Endangerment, Driving on a DUI Suspended License (2nd Offense), and Fugitive from Another State.
Note: Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

MARSHALL COUNTY TO CALDWELL COUNTY, KY (November 9, 2017) - Kentucky State Police have arrested a man following a robbery, motor vehicle theft, and multi-county pursuit. At approximately 1:00 p.m., McCracken County Deputy Sheriff Roger Simon contacted KSP Post 1 to report a red car traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on Interstate 24 in Marshall County. While on the phone with KSP, Deputy Simon reported the car had wrecked.

Bill Cundiff, 64, Adair County, KY (1953-2017)

He was a self-employed gunsmith and a carpenter. He was a member of a large, respected Adair County, KY family. He was a native of Indianapolis, IN, and a longtime resident of Adair County. He was the son of the late Willie Joe & Flora Garner Cundiff. His wife, Sandra McLean Cundiff, survives. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

Bill Cundiff, 64, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:02amCT, at T.J. Health/Columbia Emergency Room.

The family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held later.

Filing was slower on the second day of filing at the Adair County Clerk's Office. Four addition candidates names are added to the roster of candidates. At the close of business today, there are 19 candidates, which will remain the same until Monday morning, November 13, 2017; the clerk's office is closed Friday and Saturday, November 10 & 11 , 2017, to honor the Veterans Day Holiday.

October 24-27, 2017, 17 members from the Adair county FFA chapter attended National FFA convention in Indianapolis, IN.

Chapters from across the country were there to meet and compare ideas with each other and learn leadership skills.

She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of The Glensfork Community Church. She was a member of a large, respected family. She was the daughter of the late Allan & Gracie Munday Curry. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Arrest follows tip of man hollering obscenities from behind dumpster

Nineteen year old arrested, faces multiple charges, lodged in Adair County Regional Jail. He was found in search of area, after he had climbed a tree in apparent effort to hide from officers.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, Columbia Police were dispatched to an apartment Complex located off Greensburg Street. The female caller advised 911 that a man was behind a dumpster area and was hollering improper obscenities to them.

Upon arrival officers searched the area and located the man who had climbed a tree in attempt to hide from Officers.

Daniel Hedges performs Service Learning Project

News from ACHS

Daniel Hedges took his 9th grade TRP class to ACES on November 8th, 2017. TRP (Transition Readiness Period) is a period at the high school where students participate in a variety of activities that strengthens their character skills, soft skills, and work skills. It is also used as a means of instruction for standardized tests when needed.

Students performed their Service Learning Project by creating stories to read for the children. Each story had an important theme that taught the elementary students a valuable lesson.

"Students really enjoyed the project, and they liked the opportunity to serve the students at ACES. They put in time and tremendous effort," Hedges said.

ACHS students are continuing to perform a variety of service learning activities during November.

Matt Bevin and leaders of Stoli Group broke ground today for Kentucky Owl Park, a nearly $150 million lakeside complex to include a distillery, visitors center, cooperage, rickhouses, bottling center, restaurant and other facilities at Bardstown's 420-acre Haydon Materials Quarry.
