Arrest follows tip of man hollering obscenities from behind dumpster

Nineteen year old arrested, faces multiple charges, lodged in Adair County Regional Jail. He was found in search of area, after he had climbed a tree in apparent effort to hide from officers.
Note: Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, Columbia Police were dispatched to an apartment Complex located off Greensburg Street. The female caller advised 911 that a man was behind a dumpster area and was hollering improper obscenities to them.

Upon arrival officers searched the area and located the man who had climbed a tree in attempt to hide from Officers.



Arrested was 19 year old Chris Dickson on charges of:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Public Intoxication excludes alcohol
- Criminal Trespass 3rd degree
Dickson was lodged in Adair County Regional Jail by CPD Ofc. Josh Brockman who was assisted by Ofc Charles Greer.
