Daniel Hedges performs Service Learning Project

News from ACHS

Daniel Hedges took his 9th grade TRP class to ACES on November 8th, 2017. TRP (Transition Readiness Period) is a period at the high school where students participate in a variety of activities that strengthens their character skills, soft skills, and work skills. It is also used as a means of instruction for standardized tests when needed.

Students performed their Service Learning Project by creating stories to read for the children. Each story had an important theme that taught the elementary students a valuable lesson.

"Students really enjoyed the project, and they liked the opportunity to serve the students at ACES. They put in time and tremendous effort," Hedges said.

ACHS students are continuing to perform a variety of service learning activities during November.
