She was an avid University of Virginia baseball fan and a lifetime member of the General Federation of Woman's Club, the Shadwell Chapter of the DAR and a lifetime member of the DOE Club. She was a Welcome Wagon hostess for many years. Her final resting place will be in her native Adair County.
