CJE Mike Stephens issues statement on fireworks this year CJE Michael Lee Stephens issues regrets for inability to have fireworks as usual this year To the citizens of Adair County It is with great regret we must confirm our inability to move forward with the July 4th fireworks event this year. I truly understand the concern and disappointment, however, due to changes with the individual we have worked with in the past (who had graciously volunteered his time, expertise and building space), the unresolved issue of ownership of the fairgrounds for that time period and other problems affecting the ordering and delivery, we were unable to make timely commitments to the fireworks company. Many calls have been made and many attempts and inquiries to find an alternative solution but without success. We look forward to the issues being resolved for the 2017 year, to a new place for this event and an even greater reason to celebrate!! I wish all of you a great and safe summer!! s/Michael Lee Stephens Adair County Judge/Executive 2016-06-22 15:15:52 | Comments | Printable version
