KSP 4 officers arrest man in overnight 3 county pursuit Hillview Police call in KSP for assistance to stop fleeing 1996 Chevrolet Lumina. KSP Troopers join chase at 102 mm on I-65, then across Western KY turnpike into Grayson County, where tire deflators deployed. While attempting to arrest the driver, Timothy E. Hayes of Leitchfield, the suspect reached for KSP Sgt. Kevin Burton's gunbelt and tugged at it trying to disarm Sgt. Burton. A scuffle ensued, but KSP Officers were able to get Mr. Hayes under control and arrest him. Hayes, facing multiple charges, was treated and released at Twin Lakes Regional Hospital, then taken to the Grayson Co. Detention Center in Leitchfield, KY. The case is still under investigation by KSP Lt. Jeremy Thompson. Alvin Foster Spoon, 69, Adair Co., KY (1946-2015) He was a member of Hadley's Community Church and the former owner of Alvin Spoon Trucking. He was a member of a large, highly regarded South Adair County, KY, family. He was the son of Thelma Smith Spoon, who survives, and the late Garvin Spoon. His wife, Bonnie Spoon, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants. I-65 SB blocked near mile marker 66 due to overturned semi (UPDATE: 1:47pmCT, 3 Oct 2015: All lanes open - WES WATT) By Wes Watt, Public Information Officer Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 3 Bowling Green, KY (October 3, 2015) - Interstate 65 southbound is blocked near mile marker 66 just south of Bonnieville in Hart County due to an overturned semi-truck. A detour is being setup at the Bonnieville exit 71to US 31-W and rejoining I-65 at Munfordville at exit 65. Due to high traffic volume the detour could be slow to navigate. The blockage is expected to last for several hours. Motorists need to exercise patience and caution during this blockage.
