Heartland Parkway first phase will start in Columbia, KY Red letter day news for South Central Kentucky, particularly Columbia & Campbellsville, KY: Columbia Manufacturer Rob Wilkerson says it's good news for Green River Commerce Park. He says the prospect who has approached him and other community leaders is a metal fabricator attracted to Columbia's strategic highway location. He said that the prospect also is attracted because of the success of the welding program at Adair County High School. - CM By Rob Wilkerson, CEO Assisted Transportation Systems A good friend of mine told me this afternoon (Wed 8 Jul 2016) that the state is going to build the Heartland Parkway from Columbia at the Adair County Veterans Memorial Parkway to the Adair/Taylor County line. The project will cost $10 million. The Department of Transportation will be making a press release in the next couple of weeks, my source said. This will be great news for Adair County and should help the Green River Commerce Park, as I know personally of industry which may focus on this county when this project is complete. Thanks. - Rob Wilkerson 2015-07-08 22:45:00 | Comments | Printable version
An open, supportive letter to Joyce Coomer Billy Joe Fudge writes: You, young lady, just had a cussin' fit. A-n-d if anyone was ever justified in their expletive laced tirade, it would most probably be you. Although I, for the most part, don't partake in the upper echelons of "verbal painting by adjective," I certainly can appreciate the level of frustration and feel the pain which inspired such a majestic piece of art.Comments re article 76317 Joyce Coomer I DEFINITELY want this published 2015-07-08 22:25:37 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback

Joyce Coomer: I DEFINITELY want this published To whomever mowed down my morning glories behind Printing Creations today, I hope you're (insert every expletive known to man in every language on the globe) proud of yourself. I have tried for at least ten years to keep these little morning glories in existence and even have signs out asking that mowing not be done around our building. When Stephen Compton was working here, he mowed and weed-eated regularly yet that didn't help. I even purchased an electric mower this spring specifically for this task and apparently no one can tell the difference between a grassy area that was mown on SATURDAY -- Saturday you (insert expletives) people -- so it sure as (insert expletives) didn't need mown this morning. I don't know what this county and city's problem is with wildflowers but it sure as (insert expletives) goes deep into some OCD psyche that I do not understand. Joyce M. Carol Perkins: Problem messages left on answering machine ' . . . beware of what you leave on answering machines. Have you ever left a message for the wrong person?
