I was proud of former President Bill Clinton with First Lady and former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, of former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura, former President Barack Obama, and of President elect Donald Trump and First Lady Melania. Basketball: Lady Indians face Casey Co. Lady Rebels By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County Lady Indians Basketball team returns to the court to take on the Casey County Lady Rebels at 6:30pmCT/7:30pmET tonight, Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Casey County High School, 1841 E. State Hwy 70, Liberty, KY. The Lady Rebels sit at 3-8, and come off a 20-point loss at home against Pulaski County this past Tuesday. Casey County struggled with shooting in that matchup, going just 18 of 56 from the floor (32%). The leading scorer for Casey County in the Pulaski County game was Junior Elizabeth Forbes, with 21. Forbes has led the Lady Rebels in most of their outings this season. Slowing down her production and keeping Casey County as a whole near the numbers they shot in that last game, will likely provide the best pathway to victory for the Lady Indians. 2025-01-09 14:38:25 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Sports

Hazardous road conditions persist ahead of 2nd winter storm From Naitore Djigbenou/Allen Blair Frankfort, KY - Hazardous travel conditions continue to impact Kentucky as below-freezing temperatures and snow flurries persist across the state ahead of another winter storm forecast to arrive Friday. Motorists are urged to exercise safe driving practices if they must be out while Team Kentucky's Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) snowfighting crews work to keep main roads clear and maintain critical routes for emergency responders. "Impacts are not expected to be as severe with this next storm, but our crews remain just as committed to their work to keep Kentuckians safe," said KYTC Secretary Jim Gray. "The public staying home and off the roads greatly helped our storm response earlier this week. We ask you to remain cautious as extreme cold may make for slick roads currently as we prepare for the next winter storm." The National Weather Service (NWS) expects several inches of snow across most of the Commonwealth with higher amounts approaching the Kentucky southern border. Ice is not part of the forecast this time, but with day and night below-freezing temperatures the snow is likely to create hazardous driving conditions with slick roads and bridges. Crews are monitoring the weather and are preparing to plow snow and treat roads where needed. Click headline for additional information, including suggestions for an Emergency Car Kit, and tips for what drivers are expected to do when traffic lights are out, or power lines fall on a roadway.
