Conversation with Mom about Henry Moss Phillip Coffey asked his Mom Vena what she could recall about one of her Uncles who was born about 1860 (Henry Hartford Moss). Phillip shared, "She told me about riding with her parents and two younger siblings from their home to where her Mother was born and raised south of Exie on a Road wagon drawn by two horses. "Her parents had a slate nailed near the front of the across the top of the wagon sideboards. She said the put some straw hay in bed of the back of the wagon with quilts placed over the straw. Her Dad would get off the wagon and walk up the hills when they went to church near Keltner (Pleasant Ridge Church) to rest the horses. This story was posted on 2025-01-09 18:09:13
