It is with great sadness that our school district has learned that Anthony Parra Lopez, a Senior at Adair County High School, passed away Friday night.

On behalf of our students, staff and school community we extend our deepest sympathies to Anthony's family. We pray God's comfort will cover his family and friends during this difficult time.

Over the next several days and weeks we will work together to cope with this loss. Please feel free to contact your child's school if you feel that someone needs to check on or speak with your child.

Again, our sympathies, condolences and prayers are with Anthony's family in this time of grief.

Dreams come true

By Sabine Eastham, Director
International Student Programs/Lindsey Wilson College.

About one month ago, when we picked up our new international students from the airport, I asked everyone if they had a bucket list of things to do and experience while in the U.S.

One student in particular, Parisa Rachdanone from Bangkok, Thailand, did not have to think to long... "I want to see snow"... And yesterday, our Kentucky weather finally delivered as we had something of a winter wonderland.

You see, Thailand does not have snow. There are some reports of snow in Thailand during its winter in late 1955. Thailand's cold season is generally from November to February with temperatures in the mid 60s F.

By Christopher Coombs

Williamsburg, KY - The No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson wrestling team lost to No. 6 Cumberlands (KY) on the road via a 24-15 result at the UC Volleyball Gym.

The Blue Raiders strung together four straight decision victories from 157 to the 184-pound bout but two losses to close out the night ultimately cost Lindsey Wilson. Cumberlands and the Blue Raiders split the ten matches - each picking up five wins - but three pin victories by the Patriots proved to be too much to overcome.
