Letter: Politicians shouldn't promise jobs. Yet.

Brody Blair writes:
Politicians make "the promise" every year. "I promise to bring more jobs to Adair County."" These Politicians shouldn't make this promise. Because, they can't always keep it. Politicians would love to bring jobs, but it's not that simple. Companies won't locate in Columbia just because we need jobs, they don't care about that. They care about Infrastructure, Workforce, etc.

The question you ask, Angie, is a reasonable question. But, the officials we have elected in the current, work countless hours to try and make this happen. And, trust me, They want this just as bad as you. But Adair County is point-blank not the best place for employers. Officials are making this happen, and together we can make a bright future for the next generation of our county. --Brody
