Ernestine Bault, 85, Adair County, KY (1931-2017) Mrs. Bault was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and attended Cane Valley Christian Church, she was a nursing assistant for many years at Taylor Regional Hospital, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital and Westlake Regional Hospital. She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of Ben & Rhoda Hardin Grant. Her husband of 69 years, Leonard Bault, survives. She leaves 13 direct living descendants. Mary Frank Mayes, Taylor Co., KY (1923-2017) She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was the oldest member of Campbellsville Christian Church. She had retired after 32 years as an instructor at Fruit of the Loom. She was actively involved in the Ladies Prayer Group and Harmony Missionary Society. She was an active member of the Homemakers Club and previously volunteered with the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She had also served as an assistant teacher in the Glow Worms Preschool Program. She was the matriarch of an outstanding family, with many direct and step-descendants. She was the daughter of the late John Rice Wolford & Minnie Florence McKenty Wolford, and the widow of William Howard "Bill" Mayes, her husband of 27 years. Ellen Faye Cowherd, Taylor Co./Ohio Co., KY native (1928-2017) She was a beloved Taylor County teacher who was very active in church and civic affairs. She had served on the local Soil Conservation Board. She attended Russell Creek Academy (Campbellsville College) and Georgetown College before receiving her Bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky State Teacher's College (Western Kentucky University). She went on to teach and retired from the Taylor County School System with over twenty-five years in elementary education. A member of Early Chapel United Methodist Church, she was active in United Methodist Women, the Order of the Eastern Star, Homemakers and had served on the Soil Conservation Board. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling on bus tours and going to Kroger. She was the daughter of the late Strather E. & Virgie Bennett Hunter and the widow of Theodore Cowherd.
