Vicky Pike: It's weird out here by Walmart with no lights

UPDATE: Lights are back on!!! Vicky Pike reports by phone at at 8:31pmCT: At that time the gas pumps at 5-Star still taped off, and Hardee's was dark. Down toward Burkesville the lights are back on and I'm going to check out what's happened toward Gradyville. Oh - the lights are back on at the Adair Kwik Lube and at the Pinewood Shopping Center.
Taylor County RECC Transformer thought to be problem.

By Vicky Pike

(Sat 18 Nov 2017; 7:52pmCT) - It's been weird out here since I got home about 10 minutes ago. As I pulled in to our farm all the lights went out on the Cumberland Parkway, at homes, at the Pinewood Shopping Center and in Holladay Place.

For some reason, the Duo-County Office has lights.

I've been told that a transformer is out on Frank Dohoney Road. I don't know how far the territory extends, but I can't see lights anywhere except for Duo-County.

Will let everyone know if there's an update.

Hardee's was still browned out, for at least a few minutes, at 8:42pmCT, when this photo was taken. All the other busineses in Holiday Place which are usually open at this time, including Walmart, had been re-lit as though nothing had ever happened. - Vicky Pike
