Judge Spaulding orders life sentence for Rocky T. Ashby

Taylor Circuit Judge Samuel Spalding handed down a sentence of imprisonment for for maximum term of life imprisonment for Rocky T. Ashby, 37, on Wednesday, November 14, 2017, in Taylor Circuit Court, according to information in the four page ruling filed in the office of Taylor Circuit Clerk Rodney Burress dated November 14, 2017.



Attorneys for Ashby changed his plea on November 7, 2017, through attornes George R. Somberger and Teresa Whitaker, from not guilty to guilty on three charges, 1) Murder, 2) Burglary, and Wanton Endangerment, all counts committed July 16, 2016, when the defendant was 35 years of age.

The case involved the murder of Tara Nicole Simpson Lamer, 35, of Campbellsville, KY. (Obituary).
