Charles Reginald (Johnny) Miller, 55, Taylor Co., KY (1962-2017)

He professed a belief in Christ at a young age and was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church, in Greensburg, KY. He was a United States Army veteran and a former K-Mart manager. He was a sports enthusiast and played basketball in high school and basketball pickup games in his younger years. He also enjoyed watching UK Basketball games. Fishing was also a delight in earlier years. He had a kind heart to all and loved his family. He will be missed by many.

FM2 open just two more Saturdays before season ends

The Farmers Market on the Square (FM2), corner of Merchant and Campbellsville Streets in Columbia, is open just twice more before the season ends. They will open tomorrow morning, Saturday, October 21, 2017 and again on the last Saturday of the month, October 28, 2017.

Anyone with Senior or WIC vouchers is reminded to use them before the market closes on October 28. In its rich tradition, the market will have its biggest event on the last day of the season, October 28, with gift baskets to give away and free homemade foods.

Campbellsville University to host Bob Fitts at Homecoming

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University will be hosting missionary Bob Fitts during Homecoming Weekend Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Praying Hands located on the main campus beside the Administration Building at 104 University Drive, Campbellsville. The event is sponsored by the university's Center for International Education.

Fitts has been at the forefront of worship leading and song writing with an international platform in live performance and recordings for over 30 years.

Garland Hayes, 86, Green County, KY (1931-2017)

Mr. Hayes made a childhood profession of faith in Christ and attended the Light House Baptist Church. He a US Army Korean War veteran, and a lifelong farmer and was a care giver for his wife for many years. He was the son of the late Robert T. & Lena Wilkerson Hayes, and the widower of Allene Sharpe Hayes. He leaves two direct and two step living descendants.
