ACSO officers arrest two after Sawmill Road incident

Multiple allegations follow arrest of two men after ACSO deputy Josh Durbin, CPD Officer Jamie Cole, and Adair County Constable Jason Rector respond to report of car going through yard, wrecking into a parked car, attempting to enter a house, leaving and becoming mired in field
Note - Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. From the Adair County Sheriff's Office

On May, 28,2017 Adair county Deputy Josh Durbin Responded to Sawmill Road, after a report of two men driving though a yard of a residence and wrecking into a parked vehicle, after which the two men then got out of their vehicle and attempted to go inside the house. The two men then left the scene

Shirley Ann Smith, 76, Green County, KY (1940-2017)

She was the daughter of the late Alex Zander (Elic) Burris and Delzie Parson Burris. She leaves seven direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.

Shirley Ann Smith, 76, departed this life Monday, May 29, 2017 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 12pmNoonCT, Wednesday, May 31, 2017, with Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis and Bro. Travis Keltner the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

  • 3pmCT Wed 31 May 2017. Fulton County Town Hall. At Pontotoc Community Center, 112 East State Line, Fulton, KY
The Congressman has already held town hall events in 16 counties so far, this year. This next tour will bring the total number of counties to 18. Rep. Comer will host a town hall in all 35 first district counties by the end of the year.

Big Al Owens in LA for Cubs-Dodgers game

Album attached, from the Sportswriter who rose from a little farm at Vester, KY; the small town of Columbia, KY, and the county seat of Cook County, Illinois to a dream job traveling the United States of America with routes which take him to places we'd all like to see, and people we'd all like to meet. Two major bucket list goals remain outstanding: Having a beer with President Obama, and an audience with the Pope. Memorial Day weekend was started with a Major League game at Dodgers Stadium, with his beloved Cubbies facing the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team Columbia native Cy Barger helped launch in Brooklyn, NY.

The offices located in the Adair County Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. will be closed Monday, May 29, 2017 to allow county employees the opportunity to celebrate Memorial Day with their families. This closure includes the following: Judge Executive Michael Stephens' office, the Adair County Sheriff's Department, County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin's office, and the office of Jeff Feese, PVA.
Also, the Green River Animal Shelter, 455 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY, and the Adair County Recycling Center, 32 Service RD, Columbia, KY, will be closed.The 911 Center, 107 N High Street, Columbia, KY,will be closed for the same time period, but will continue its 24-hour service for dispatching emergency calls.
