Real estate agent sees all of Adair - Says trash everywhere Annette Burton writes: It is a shame more people don't take the time to dispose of garbage at home instead of throwing it out on our road ways as a real estate sales person I drive a lot around Adair Co. and the county has trash everywhere. That is just plain uncalled for; maybe if these people were fined for some of this it would slow down. It couldn't hurt. We have a beautiful county. Why not have a clean one? Charles White (Toad) Harmon was a major player in the Burton-Harmon feud, ca 1920s This photo is of Mr. Harmon and his wife, Clara in a warm, family scene. In one encounter, Jason Harmon, the historian who wrote the account of the feud says,Toad Harmon suffered an extreme beating. Charles White Harmon was the great grandfather of Jason Harmon. Though some ill-feelings smouldered into the 1960s, Jason Harmon says the Burtons and Harmons have long since buried the hatchet. My husband and I go riding every Sunday afternoon and we have been all over Adair County and surrounding counties. It is amazing to me the amount of garbage we see alongside all the roads in this county. We talk about it every Sunday while driving around. When we go into other counties, it is nothing compared to Adair County.
