Trees, limbs down around county after 27 Aug 2016 storm (A note on the all important Mark Twain Marching Band Exhibition: Most people know about the band and know this - but those who didn't and are wondering about it. Band competitions are rarely cancelled because of weather. Those in attendance just take shelter until the storm passes over, then the competition continues. That's what the crowd at Indian Stadium did, taking shelter in Adair County High School. The program then picked up where it left off, Trilby Vance reminded us.) By Ed Waggener Mike Keltner, Adair County Emergency Disaster Director, said in a telephone interview at 6:30pmCT, Saturday, August 27, 2016, that he is receiving information of trees and limbs down all over northern Adair County. Among the areas hit hardest, he said, are Vester, Holmes Bend Road, and Hutchison-Loy Road. He was delivering a shipment from Ingersoll-Rand, Campbellsville, KY, to a tugboard owner in San Diego, CA. As usual he made it fun adventure, taking in a San Diego Padres baseball game, meeting some interesting people, and capturing some significant local sights and sights - they're including with in this photo album.
