Please put coffee grounds around soil around plants

Vonnie writes:
And, please put the coffee grounds on the soil around plants. This is an easy way to compost coffee grounds. Plants do well with tea leaves and tea also. Think of all the coffee grounds that are thrown away as garbage and which could be used to benefit plants. --Vonnie
Vonnie makes a good point, and gardeners should remember to ask their local coffee shop for their used grounds. Most shops keep their spent grounds to give to gardeners for just that purpose. Coffee grounds are high in nitrogen, and especially beneficial to roses and tomatoes. --Pen

A 1st for Adair Co.? They've already got beer pipeline in Belgium

Thinking outside the keg. Way-out notion of the day

The beer pipeline in Belgium is causing quite a stir this morning, attracting the attention of Great Thinkers in Coburg, KY, who brought it to our attention with this link: Brewery builds 2-mile long beer pipeline Would all of Adair County's tax problems be solved with a county-wide beer pipeline to supply not only restaurants and country stores, but for home use, too?

Of course, this just may be crazy idea floated by the free-thinkers in Coburg, and maybe it's because, with such a Teutonic name, they have a more European attitude toward beer as a table beverage.

The revenues and taxes might be enough to pay off the hospital tax. After viewing the video in the link above, tell us what do you think?
