Dewey Knight, Ballard Co., KY (1922-206) He was a member of First Baptist Church of LaCenter, KY He was a World War II Veteran where he served in the Army in the South Pacific. He was a member of Iron Workers Local Union # 782 from 1951 to 1984 when he retired. He served on the Iron Workers Executive Board for many years. He was also a lifetime member of Antioch Masonic Lodge # 332 and was a past Commander for the American Legion LaCenter Post. Dewey was very passionate about clocks, he enjoyed collecting and repairing clocks of all kinds, he also loved antiques of all sorts. He was the father of Susan Minton, and grandfather of Brandon Minton, Columbia, KY. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Knight. He leaves eight direct living descendants. Scattered snow showers throughout the night and the low temperatures have resulted in routes being partially to completely covered. If traveling, motorists should take it slow, wear seat belts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and use caution on bridges, exit ramps and shaded valleys as those areas are often more prone to icing.
