Jon Halsey: On yet another Veterans Bypass fatality

Comment about: Comments re article 76109 Accident takes life on Veterans Bypass at Greensburg Street

By Jon Halsey
Personal Commentary

One of my favorite American Philosophers summed it up quite well:"It's like Deja Vu all over again." - Yogi Berra.

The British Indie Rock Band had a hit about 10 years ago on their album Silent Alarm. The final cut was called "Compliments" and the tag line ran:
"We sit and we sigh and nothing gets done
So right, so clued up, we just get old
And all the while been torn asunder"
This cannot, absolutely cannot be that difficult to resolve. Have we as a society gotten to the point that the loss of human life is humdrum. - Jon Halsey

Comment: Actions by Junior Stotts & Rob Wilkerson refreshing

Roger D Smith DMD writes:
Ed: Yesterday I texted Jr. Stotts and thanked him for "doing a good thing" concerning the changes to Hwy55 and 206 intersection. Both Jr. and Rob have not been party to the usual political back-slapping that goes with this type of success and for me it has been refreshing. Two men, whom we can describe, as citizens of Columbia and not just being from Columbia! Again, my thanks to both for their actions. - Roger D smith DMD
