Anna Jewell Russell Hedgespeth, 84, Green Co., KY (1931-2015) She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church. She was a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc., and helped run the Hedgespeth Country Store. She was a native of Green County and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Jimmy Taylor Russell and Anna Wood Wilcoxson Russell and the widow of Vora Dale Hedgespeth, her husband of over 63 years. She leaves 12 direct living descendants. Accident takes life on Veterans Bypass at Greensburg Street Three vehicles involved. Passenger in third vehicle airlifted from scene and dies en route to UL Hospital in Louisville. Driver of one vehicle transported by ambulance, driver of other by private vehicle to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY. Adair EMS, Adair County Fire Department, and Breeding Fire Department responded to scene. Columbia Police Officer John Dial is investigating.
