Accident takes life on Veterans Bypass at Greensburg Street Three vehicles involved. Passenger in third vehicle airlifted from scene and dies en route to UL Hospital in Louisville. Driver of one vehicle transported by ambulance, driver of other by private vehicle to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY. Adair EMS, Adair County Fire Department, and Breeding Fire Department responded to scene. Columbia Police Officer John Dial is investigating. By Jason Cross, Chief of Police, Columbia, KY On Friday, June 26, 2015, at approximately 1:36pmCT, Columbia Police responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Greensburg Street and the Veterans Bypass. The accident occurred when a 2016 Ford pickup being operated by Nancy Brody of Campbellsville, KY, pulled into the path of a 2012 Toyota Camry being operated by Anita Green of Columbia, KY. Green's vehicle struck Brody's and then struck a 2007 Jeep operated by Lisa Bradshaw of Russell Springs. A passenger in the Brody vehicle Yolanda (Lynn) Tyree, age 68, of Campbellsville, KY, was ejected and airlifted from the scene, bound for the University of Louisville hospital. Yolanda Tyree died in route, Brody was transported by ambulance and Green was transported by private vehicle to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY. The accident is being investigated by Columbia Police officer John Dial, Police were assisted at the scene by Adair County EMS, Adair County Fire department, and Breeding Fire Department.
