It's the work of Charlotte Cash & Patricia Ritter
Click on headline for item with photo of mural

Mary Ann Burns, wrote to confirm for us that the artists who painted the delightful mural on the west side of the Hwy 90 Tire Shop in Marrowbone are Charlotte Cash and Patricia Ritter, as many have guessed. The owner of the station building is Nat York. And boy, is there a story with this mural. Maybe we'll be able to get the artists to share it with us in the not too distant future. - EW

By Ted Sloan

LOUISVILLE, KY - Winter Storm Thor was no match for enthusiastic buyers who shattered records at the 29th annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo March 6-8 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

Sales totaled $1.39 million, breaking last year's record of $1.14 million and crossing the $1 million barrier for the fourth consecutive year. The 445 lots averaged $3,127, beating out the previous record of $2,547 in 2014.

"It means a lot that so many people were willing to endure tremendous amounts of snow and record cold to buy and show at the Beef Expo," Agriculture Commissioner James Comer said. "This has become one of the premier beef cattle events in the country."
