Lindsey Wilson Women's Basketball ranked No. 21 in NAIA Blue Raiders fall a pair of spots By Matthew Stokes News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team dropped to No. 21 in the newest NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, as announced by the national office on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. After moving up in three-consecutive editions of the rankings, the Blue Raiders (16-5, 4-3 Mid-South Conference) earned 91 total voting points and moved down two spots from their previous placement of No. 19. The top three teams in the poll remained intact for the fourth-straight week, led by No. 1-ranked Freed-Hardeman (TN) with 250 voting points total and 9-of-10 first-place votes. Oklahoma City sits at No. 2 with 242 total voting points and the remaining first-place vote. The rest of the top five consists of Campbellsville (KY) (234), Westminster (UT) (226) and Bethel (TN) (218), respectively. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Harold Bell and Yvonne Gay Atwood Bell. LWC Men's Tennis ranked No. 5 in NAIA Preseason Top 25 Poll By Tyler Scott News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team is ranked fifth in the Men's Tennis Coaches' Preseason Top 25 poll, the national office announced on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. The Blue Raiders are receiving 298 total points after winning the Mid-South Conference tournament title last season. Reigning national tournament champion Georgia Gwinnett sits in first receiving 343 total points and all 13 first-place votes. Embry-Riddle (FL) (332) is second and Auburn Montgomery (AL) (319) sits in third. Regular season MSC champion Cumberland (TN) and Pikeville (KY) are the only other MSC teams ranked in the top 25. The Bulldogs are ranked right behind the Blue Raiders in sixth with 282 total points, while the Bears are 16th receiving 165 total points.
