One injured in 1 vehicle accident on Breeding RD, Edmonton, KY By TFC William Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Trooper Logan Richardson is investigating a collision that occurred at approximately 1:50pmCT, Sunday, May 29, 2011, on Breeding RD, 3 miles east of Edmonton, KY. Kelly Habhab, 42 years old, of Edmonton, KY, was operating a 2000 Plymouth westbound on Breeding Road. Habhab lost control of her vehicle and left the roadway. Habhab was belted and was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital, Glasgow, KY. Trooper Richardson was assisted at the scene by the Edmonton Fire Department and Barren/Metcalfe County EMS. Adair 4-H Spurs Fun Horse Show will be June 5, 2011 By Tony Rose Adair Extension Agent for 4-H and Youth Activities The Adair County Spurs Horse Club a Fun Horse Show, previously scheduled and cancelled has now been rescheduled for Sunday, June 5. 2011,with a Rain date of June 12, 2011, at the Adair County Fairgrounds, 413 Fairgrounds ST, Columbia, KY. The show will start at 3pmCT and gates will open at 12pm noon CT. This is a fund raiser for the club to support club activities during the year. Admission is free with donations being accepted. Motorists are reminded to drive slowly in the area and to be respectful of the occasion. Honored World War II Veteran celebrates 96th birthday Rayburn Keltner sends word that honored Adair County World War II veteran (John) Raymond Keltner celebrated his 96th birthday on May 15, 2011. "He isn't doing as well as he once did," Rayburn Keltner writes, "But is very aware of his surroundings." Thanks to Rayburn Keltner for the news. It reminded us of the wonderful men who served our country in that War, and other wars.
