Accolade for Pear Tree Chronicles from Abroad About: Pear Tree Chronicles w/Album: 2010 in life of century old tree Robert Hugh Stone writes from faraway Tennessee There have been some great items on CM these past ten days - amazing really. I loved the pear tree photographs. -Robert H. Stone, Lebanon, TNThanks. Adair County has drawn some amazing incomers from most of the 50 states in the past decade. All are contributing wonderfully, and these Vermonters make us think the economic development people would do well to recruit in the Green Mountain State. Your praise is much appreciated at CM and well deserved; and considering the source, it is paramount criticism. -EW 2011-01-01 09:49:31 | Comments | Printable version

Charles Snow Harris spoke from his heart Former editor of Adair Co. News remembered Adair even after becoming Mississippi State legislator Beth Grant writes: It was with great pleasure I read this letter from my great-grandfather, Charles Snow Harris. In typical Harris fashion, he spoke from his heart. The members of the Harris family have many treasures such as this, including some of the early newspapers. He had a great fondness for Adair County, even after he became a legislator for the state of Mississippi. -Beth GrantComments above re article 41488: JIM recalls outlook of editor Charles S.
