Plane crash reminder of Will Rogers and Wiley Post George Keltner said that when he heard about the death of former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens in a plane crash last night, in his home state, he, Mr. Keltner, could help but remember the first time he heard of a plane crash and the death of two other famous people. "It was early August, in 1935. We were sitting in a place of higher learning in Buckner, between Mell and Exie in Green County. It made sense to a grade school student back then, Mr. Keltner said. But today, when NBA players, the Pope, and the President's wife travel in airplanes, it seems funny that he made such a big fuss about it then. Times have changed. 2010-08-10 15:08:17 | Comments | Printable version
