An Address of Distinction with Address Marker

2009-06-25 - 300 Jamestown ST, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
An address of distinction, 300 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY, is now clearly marked with an Address Marker. It's the home of Dr. Ronald P. and Gayle Rogers. It be that the vital sign was added because Dr. Rogers is in the health care field with his chiropractic practice, or that he wants to set an example because he is the sports physician at Adair County High School. He says, however, that it was Mrs. Rogers' idea. She insisted they have the added safety. Dr. Rogers already had an attractive standard on which place the Address Marker. Four inch square wooden posts can be bought in varying lengths at H. Coomer & Son, 418 Hudson ST, Columbia, KY. The signs may be purchased at the Adair County Sheriff's Office, 500 Public Square, Columbia, KY, Phone (270) 384-2776, for $10 each. If other ideas for posting the signs in an attractive manner in town can be suggested, comments are welcome.

Picture/Poem: Seek and Ye Shall Find

Seek and Ye Shall Find
Poem by Shamarie Claiborne accompanying Underwing Moth
There is no place for me!
Thechild cried out "Lord there is no place here for me!"
TheLord replied"I have plans, patience and you will see."
The child cried "I do not see them! They are nowhere in sight!"
The Lordreplied "Patience you must have,I have a plan yet unseen."
The childcried "I fear I have none left! I do not see the plan, it isstill nowhere in sight!"
The Lordreplied "Patience child and you shall see the plans I have for thee".
Setting quite, patience finallyfound.
The Lord showed me what patiencewill allow.
Beautylike none Ihave seen.
Hidden beneath what some wouldcall brown, ugly, seen every day.
Patience revealed beauty, a sight rarely seen.
Thischild said "I see now, there are plans for me."
The Lordreplied "Patience showed you my sights unseen.
I know the plan child, wait and see.
Patience's you must hold on to, as if it where me."
