Green Co. only 1 in 7-county area with confirmed swine flu case The Kentucky Health Alert chart for confirmed cases of swine flu show only one case in the seven county Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties, and that one is in Green. House passes bill with funds for Russell Co. sirens The United States House of Representatives approved a bill for President Obama's signature which includes $200,000 in Federal funds for an Outdoor Warning Siren Project for Russell County, KY. House Bill 2892, the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2010, allocates the funds to the Russell County Fiscal Court to buy outdoor warning sirens, which could warn of problems at Wolf Creek Dam. Rep. Ed Whitfield (KY-01) voted for the measure.
