County orders forklift for Adair Co. Recycling Center Adair County Fiscal Court has ordered a Doosan Infracore forklift for the Recycling Center. The purchase was made possible by a grant received from Department for Environmental Protection, Division of Waste Management. According to Lisa Lee, Administrative Assistant in the office of Adair County Judge Ann Melton, the county saved approximately $3,000 by using the from the reverse auction provided by Kentucky Association of Counties. Two injured in construction zone on US 68 Two passengers were injured when Kelvin Elam, Lebanon, KY, 45, drove into a large pile of rocks left in the roadway in a construction zone four miles east of Lebanon on US68 last night. Elam, who was eastbound, operating a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe, was belted and not injured. The collision took place at 8:47pm, Wednesday, September 5, 2007. Passenger Dorie Elam, 40, who was also belted, was treated and released at Springview Medical Center in Lebanon, KY, as was Marissa Keeling, 2, also of Lebanon, who was in a child restraint seat.
